“Don’t be a such a tease.”
That little sentence: the connotation is so often negative. But think of how tantalizing it can be.
A waft of perfume.
A sliver of skin.
A ghost of a kiss.
They are all designed to wet the appetite. To tempt, to lure. To draw us even closer to something we already want. And give us the promise that we might actually get it.
And the anticipation…. Well, how does the saying go: the best things in life are worth waiting for.
So, please. Tease. A little bit of longing can be a very good thing.
